Financial Planning Paper 3

Case study based CBT simulating interviews with four different clients to enable users to practise financial planning skills in preparation for the FP3 exam.   Covers : case history, case interview, assessing client needs, presenting the recommendations, referrals and reviewing.

G10 - Taxation and Trusts

Covers : calculating income tax, NI contributions, inheritance tax liability, suggestions for tax mitigation.

 

G20 - Personal Investment Planning

Covers : use, eligibility, tax treatment etc. of building society and national savings accounts, TESSAs, PEPs, shares, Gilts, PIPs, other securities, income bonds, pensions and annuities.

 

G30 - Business Financial Planning

Covers : creation, accounting, taxation and financial analysis of partnerships and limited companies, features of different types of pension schemes and calculation of liability to taxation.

 

G60 - Pensions

Covers : basic state pension, SERPS, features of personal occupational pensions and their suitability, current legislation, pension transfers, calculation of sums payable into schemes, AVCs and FSAVCs.
