WHO ARE WE AND WHAT DO WE DO?

 

The Ladies’ College Parents’ Association aims to raise funds for the benefit of the pupils by the purchase and upgrading of equipment and facilities, which would not be possible from general school funding.  Fund raising events are hopefully interesting and social for parents and/or girls and staff.  The Parents’ Association also serves at and helps to provide refreshments for various school functions and generally adds ‘a little extra’ to the school.

 

 

 

ASSOCIATION SPENDING AND CURRENT PROJECTS

 

Over the past two years, purchases have included 30 music stands, including 10 with lights for a total of £1,735 and two digital cameras for £1,510.

 

Just before Christmas we managed to purchase an Interactive White Board Screen at a cost of £3,426.18.

 

We would now like to replace the Main Hall and Cafeteria curtains.  The new curtains in the Hall will be fully lined with blackout material, thereby assisting the Drama Department to achieve even more professionalism in their productions.

 

Costs will be in excess of £7,000, so there is a long way to go.  We hope you will all agree that this is a very worthwhile project and will enhance the ambience of the hall and cafeteria tremendously.  We anticipate new curtains will have a life of approximately 15-20 years.
