Music at the Town Church goes on all the year round as this Anglican church, the cathedral church of St Peter Port, has a strong choral tradition which is reflected in the weekly services sung by the resident choir. In the summer months, we extend an invitation to everyone in the island to come and enjoy the atmosphere of our short, informal concerts. There are no tickets or entry charges, although we accept donations in the form of a retiring collection.

For 2002, we have a series of ten concerts of music for choirs large and small, string groups, solo violin, and organ. All the concerts start at 8pm and usually last an hour to an hour and a half. The informal atmosphere means that you can have a chance to meet and talk to the performers afterwards and there is still plenty of time for a late dinner in one of the excellent St Peter Port restaurants.

Please note that the best seating in the church fills quickly so arrive early if you want to be sure of a good view!

You send enquiries about the series to [email protected]; we welcome your feedback on this website and the concerts.
