TIPS FOR PARTICIPANTS

To ensure that you get the most from your races here are a few tips for preparation:
-Bring lots of fluids along. Even if it is not hot you will dehydrate which affects performance.
-If you are an asthma sufferer bring inhalers with you.
-Wear lots and lots of clothing. The world athletics championships were held in very hot conditions in Canada and yet all the top athletes wore layers of clothing. If you get cold so do your muscles and you won't do so well.

-For some races spikes are appropriate (but not all of them) and bring a change of shoes/trainers with you--If you don't you can bet that will be the race when you get a booty!
-If you are feeling poorly or you have an injury don't run--you risk making things worse and in the long run it's not worth it
-If anything is bothering you  -or your parents -let us know .
