The property is visited and inspected. Following which a report is prepared itemising each aspect of the building: walls, roof, chinmeys, windows etc. and describes the present condition highlighting any potential problems that have been Pinpointed. These might include: slipped or missing roof slates, blocked rainwater goods, or gullies, damaged flashings or chimney pointing, cracks in walls, decaying joinery, etc., all of which may already be or could soon lead to further damage being caused to the property.

The report would then indicate what action is recommended with a suggested time-scale for repair. This enables effective planning and budgeting to rectify or at least control the problem(s). Certain repairs may be within your own capability, if not the report can be shown to builders to assist in securing quotations. In this way builders will be quoting on the same basis removing the risk of unnecessary work being carried out.

Having received your report, an annual 'follow up' inspection invitation will be sent.
